Our new solutions help utilities manage land use contracts, share source data for water network planning, and use robotics in LV network design
Content

We are proud to introduce four totally new solutions that help utilities to manage land use contracts in the field, share source data for water network planning in a controlled and easy way, plan low voltage networks with speed and ease as well as share the progress of construction from the field. These new innovations help utilities save both time and money.

Trimble Unity Contract Manager – Land use contracts in the field from start to finish

With Trimble Unity Contract Manager, field planners can present the construction plan to the land owners and view and edit the contract information in the field. Required changes to the network plan and contract can be done on site, and finally, you can get the contract signed at one go. The contract situation is always up-to-date, and therefore, the project managers and other stakeholders have better visibility to the project status. Trimble Unity Contract Manager helps improve efficiency and save costs, as well as eliminates unnecessary delays so that network construction can start on time, as scheduled.

Trimble Unity Planning Connector – Share source data for water network planning in a controlled and easy way

Trimble Unity Planning Connector is a browser-based application to support the planning of water supply networks. With the application, internal and external planners of water utilities can examine the network data and improve its quality for planning.

With the application, you can share the network data as source data from desired areas safely and without delay. After this, the user – for example a planning consultant – can examine the network, fill the missing property and location data and fix the errors. The improvements are saved into Trimble NIS, which improves the quality of the network data at the same time. The network data in the Inframodel format can be utilized directly in planning software, and therefore, there’s no need to manually edit the data.

Trimble Network Optimizer – Tireless assistant for the network planner

Plan low voltage networks with Trimble Network Optimizer with speed and ease. With the new tool, you can plan completely new low voltage networks or make renovation plans for the existing low voltage networks.

In next to no time, you’ll get a suggestion of a technically safe and feasible network where the investments, outage costs and costs for losses are minimized. These network plans are uniform in quality, which supports the data-driven investment decisions in the utility. Considering life-cycle costs enables the utility to save both in investments and in operative costs.

Trimble Utility To Go Construction follow-up – Share the progress of construction from the field

You can now report the progress of construction directly from the field with Utility To Go. The construction status can be updated to the objects of a plan and can also be viewed in the office with Trimble NIS to help the project managers to get an up-to-date view on the progress. The different states of the plan objects can be defined by the utility to support the construction process. They can be, for example, Construction started or Ready for final inspection.
