We've just released Trimble NIS 22.1, and we've put together the highlights of the new version for you to read. To learn more about the new features, join our webinar What's new in Trimble NIS 22.1 on June 21, 2022.
What’s new in Trimble Unity Network Manager
Get more information about maintenance observations and actions on network objects by viewing the maintenance attachments, such as photos or CCTV inspection reports. You can also search for a location by positioning or given coordinates, and open Trimble Unity Network Manager directly to a specific location or site by clicking a link. The new connection process is facilitated by finding the nearest objects, such as distribution substations or manholes.
Document network objects found during maintenance
In Utility To Go, add new point objects found during maintenance, add their properties, and at the same time document the maintenance activities performed on them. This improves the network documentation and leaves a record of the maintenance carried out.
Switch Optimizer helps to save on network losses and outage costs
Switch Optimizer allows you to optimize your network in three ways: Optimize network open points and save money by reducing network losses, help the planner by easily finding a contingency plan when the main transformer isn’t available, and save on outage costs by cost-effectively investing in new switches for your network.
Increase safety and efficiency with real-time monitoring of the network status
The new online power flow calculation gives you near real-time visibility of the state of the network. This allows you to improve safety and efficiency and to address network problems before they cause component damage or outages. Problem areas are clearly displayed on the map as points of interest and more detailed results can be visualized with analysis tools.
