We released new features in Trimble Unity solutions! In the December release, we brought you features such as informative network visualization in Utility To Go, as well as medium-voltage network calculation and customer communication in Trimble Unity Network Manager and Network Planner.

Below you can see all the new features in version 23.1.

More efficient network management with Trimble Unity Network Manager
Just as easily as inserting a single line, insert many parallel lines, move them, and connect them to routes. Add lines with fixed lengths and angles. View, edit, and add field notes to ensure efficient communication between the office and the field. Update addresses for network objects to keep the object properties up-to-date. Check the electric network integrity by using the topology coloring.

Improve customer service
Inform your clients about, for example, upcoming service breaks or construction work. Alternatively, send messages to contract parties, such as land owners. For example, you can inform them when the construction of a planned network on their property is about to begin and warn them about possible disturbances.

More informative network visualization in Utility To Go
You can define a different presentation for lines or symbols based on their properties, for example, different colors for outgoing and return pipes in district heating or lines not in use in all networks. You can also define a different presentation based on the maintenance observation value.

Improve leakage management in the water distribution network
With the Lining AQUAVISIO integration, you can view current information about water usage and anomalies in water distribution close to real-time in Trimble Unity Network Manager and Trimble NIS Operation Management. The information helps you in deducting the likely location of the leakage and planning the further actions.

Electric calculations in Trimble Unity Network Planner
Perform load flow calculation and short circuit calculation for the selected low and medium voltage networks and evaluate the effect of a new motor connected to the network. After the calculation, examine the results, view possible warnings, and highlight the network based on the calculation results.

Estimate available hosting capacity in the electric networks
Estimate the available hosting capacity in the medium voltage network. The calculation results are combined as squares in order not to unveil the exact network location. The results are provided with a REST API that enables you to share the information with the selected audience, for example, with your customers on your company website.
